ABOUT

The Safe Equipment operator course and modules are aligned with fusion safety services OSSA accredited elevated work platform course and applicable CSA Standards
The Safe Equipment Operator course is 3 hours of theory plus a multiple-choice test
Each Equipment Module includes the following:

  • PowerPoint (approximately 90 minutes)
  • JHA (Job Hazard Assessment)
  • Equipment Inspection
  • Function Test
  • Equipment Operation
  • Practical Checklist signed by the Student and Instructor

OBJECTIVE

The objective of the Safe Equipment Operator Instructor Training is to provide the Contract Instructor with the resources, materials, understanding and knowledge required to successfully deliver the Fusion Safety Services Ltd Safe Equipment Operator course as well as the applicable modules which include:

  • Elevated Work Platform
  • Skid Steer
  • Telehandler
  • Counterbalanced Forklift
  • Wheel Loader
  • Excavator

STANDARDIZATION

Fusion Safety Services has a standardized process for all safety courses in relation to; administration, policies, PowerPoint presentations, student manuals, tests, student feedback, auditing and record keeping.

COURSE DURATION

This is a minimum of a two-day course (20 Hours). This is dependent on the equipment modules that the instructor would like to train.

INSTRUCTOR MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Instructors that would like to deliver the Fusion Safety Services Ltd Safe Equipment Operator course must have a minimum of 1-year experience with the equipment module they would like to instruct
Experience can be a combination of practical, training and education. The experience criteria must be clearly outlined on the Contract Instructor Application as well as a current resume.
